glkfjdgfd yea if i had a standing job i wouldnt for sure 🫡 makes sense that yours would only last 9-12 months -- office job and just walking around for a few hours wears down way slower

5 years is admittedly ambitious. but on rotation with other shoes (and considering i wont wear them in winter)

i think those 2 years is buffered by me wearing them until they fall apart and start hurting me because i hate replacing shoes so much

9 to 12 months... that would drive me insane

2 years is fine considering how frequently i wore them. but. this design isnt even available anymore. and anything i seem to be ok settling for is over 200CAD L(_ _L)

to give an idea of the type of shoes i like

these shoes lasted a little over 2 years and were 145CAD.

i wish they lasted longer tho. i dont want to replace shoes that often :(

i need new running shoes but this sucks because im here with a "pick 2" of:
- probably high quality enough that it wont die within 5 years
- has a colour/design that i like
- does not cost more than 200 CAD

i refuse to budge on the design part and it sucks because im sorta picky as a result

theres something nice about the fact being alone in a place where no one will recognize you (... in a safe city, anyways)

watching orpheus and eurydice next week as well, so that'll be my other data point
(i watched the magic flute online and it was... interesting. but also just sorta ok to me.)

i know for sure ballets are sort of hit or miss for me from the ones ive watched online

verdict: i survived, and i really liked the set design (and the costuming in the start - and for the dancers in general, they were mvp)

but also i dont know if it was just this opera or operas in general but i dont think im strong enough for them compared to full plays lmao

yea! sometimes i cant even handle normal 1:1 conversations (especially in the mornings) cause its too overwhelming L(_ _L)

happy things do help, or just isolating myself and slowly increasing volume of music gradually
(or taking a nap and hoping my brain resets. turn it off and on again!!)
