I worked for a disability law firm for a year. You bet the system is far from perfect (the max monthly checks would never make ends meet in W WA), but throwing it out completely would be inhuman.

Let's see - when Nancy Pelosi served as Speaker, Moulton plumped for Marcia Fudge to replace her. Then for an encore, dude decided to join the cast of dozens and run for the 2020 D nom for POTUS. Both endeavors lasted a hot minute.

Sorry - yes, need his vote as a Dem, but he's not my fave.

I heard her interviewed on NPR this morning. Gal claimed that the GQP has a plan to fund the ACA subsidies. She was asked point blank, TWICE, what that plan was - didn't answer - she just went on with her talking points against the Dems.

I was really hoping the interviewer would have quipped, 1/

It’s a bit of a Hobson’s Choice, that’s for sure. But as for me, I’d take the swayback long in the tooth horse that has stood up to DJT over the younger horse’s ass with zero elected office experience and spends more time trashing Dems than MAGA.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have heard Shlomo Perel speak at Northwestern when "Europa Europa" was released. I worried about what the world would be like once his generation was no longer with us. That is one of the things I hate having been correct about.
