I consider myself extremely lucky to have heard Shlomo Perel speak at Northwestern when "Europa Europa" was released. I worried about what the world would be like once his generation was no longer with us. That is one of the things I hate having been correct about.

I remember watching a YouTube of a professor at a MA uni - tall Black gentleman - relating his experiences of being accosted during his lunch hour by the police. What hit me the hardest was how he related how he carefully explained to the officer what he was going to do before he did it, 1/

I mean, Ali Velshi blocked me because I called him out on his obtuseness for asking me why wouldn't the protesters ONLY take two mins of the DNCC time, because "that's what they asked for". 1/

Exactly. People do not get what it takes to head an organization of any size until they’ve done it themselves. I don’t care how mad you are - there are some things you just don’t do.
