Fail the country and let misinformation rule instead of developing effective ways to deliver messaging isn't going to consistently work regardless of policy.

You're advocating accepting letting the Republicans define the debate. It's failure as a strategy.
It's weird that the think lying about this is going to work. It's the same with groceries. Deranged.

People are going to see their own bills.
Journalists are certainly treating it like that instead of applying pressure by taking him seriously.

They are allowing him to be deeply unserious by doing this.
Why hasn't anyone asked him how he's qualified to be Speaker if he never knows what's going on?
I mean, I don't. Trump and his administration want to make people starve, it seems.

But it's not impossible a call would change things because Trump seems to have few convictions other than greed and narcissism.
These Republicans will never put country over their own selfish and craven personalities.
Let's remember that is what Republican voters want. Spinelessness towards Trump. They've systematically voted out almost everyone that didn't comply.

Trump being out of office is probably the only thing that stops this behavior from Republicans. Then they'll go back to infighting.
Democrats like protecting the environment, so using Captain Planet villain logic, Republicans have decided they must destroy it as much as possible.
It's literally asking for double think.
Last I saw, maybe 7 years ago, Dems had gone to the leg half as much as Republicans to the right since around 2000. I'd expect there is a bigger difference between the two parties now.
Here's an idea, maybe Democrats need to work on making sure their message gets delivered. Otherwise it won't matter what they say.

Rejecting reality and embracing policy that will hurt people is not the way.
Racist is racist. Can't say it's unsurprising.

What's so sad is Republicans and some others will claim it's not racist.
Think about their approach to pollution. Democrats don't like pollution? Then we'll get rid of as much regulation as possible -- even when the industry doesn't want it gone -- to make Democrats angry. Literally stupidity at the level of a Captain Planet villain.

This is a lot of their motivation
Lying about this isn't going to convince anyone that they are paying less at the grocery.
Why is this even being framed as about norms? Insane.
People aren't having kids more because housing, medical care, and essential goods are more expensive and pay has been relatively stagnant for 40+ years.

It's really just basic economic concerns.
Sorry, I'm just annoyed at billionaires enabling Trump and Republicans and then acting like them doing what they have been wanting to do is a shock. That's all I meant.

Not much aid groups and foundations could have done.
They don't care that ICE is going after people that did it the right way too.
I think it's pretty objectively true that these large generative AI systems have done far more harm than good. And it doesn't look like that trajectory is changing.
'unexpected' -- as if Republicans haven't been attacking all aid the US does for over a decade, and as if Trump wasn't attacking it during his campaign.
If 70% of voters really think this, then the strategy is to think about how out of touch with reality they are and how to fix it.
It's also funny because the list of three things in that blurb, in order of importance are Climate Change (massive threat to everyone on the planet), LGBT rights (under attack by the right), and way, way, way, way down below, crime (at historic lows).
