It's amazing how he admits that he claims he didn't do due diligence about the video and then says he made no mistakes.

And I definitely don't want to encourage the algorithm to show me more such videos, so I don't take the chance that some person I don't know might have reasonable complaints. Far too likely to just be bigoted hate.

Even if I dislike a show, I avoid watching YouTube videos complaining about it for this reason. I've got problems with Discovery and Picard, but I never want to hear some bigoted asshole's hateful bullshit. And this seems to be what a lot of such videos are like for many shows or movies.

I think a lot of commentors don't think about how the protests aren't about how we're treating Europe or the rest of the world. Not enough Americans really care about that. If Trump hadn't sabotaged the economy and encouraged ICE brutality, he'd very likely still be around 50% approval.

Surely You're Joking, I think. Might have been the other one full of his stories. Just seemed like his behavior and attitude changed quite a bit once he recovered from the despair. I never felt like his general behavior towards women that he described was ok even when I was a teen in the 90s.

We named one of our cats Asimov before I knew about this. I feel awkward about it now given his shameful behavior.

We cancelled Prime when he cozied up to Trump after the election and as much as we can avoid getting things from Amazon.
As a society, we've managed to create a system where competition on the Internet is pretty discouraged just because of the work a customer has to put in, and stuff like Prime.

20 years ago, I thought guys like this were extremely rare, but it's become clear to me that they are much more common than I thought, and thinking they were rare made me less aware of the problem. We clearly need to do a better job of calling this behavior out from a young age.
