I'm usually not a fan of spiders, but this weaver themed ancient tome book box is the exception. I hand painted this in several different shades of blue, with an iridescent sheen. And this is the only book box with gilded pages!

An ancient tome book box with a spider theme! I hate spiders but for some reason I like this one.

It features a stylized spider in the midst of a web. The body is made of a sparkle blue/black filament sealed with high gloss.

This shows how the pages slide up to reveal a box inside.

Unlike most of my books, the sides of these ones are gilded! Sprayed edges, anyone?

You should be concerned about the rate of authors leaving publishing. Especially from marginalized communities. This year I have seen so many authors just pack it up and go. And it's only getting worse.

also Bambu has been really good about sending me replacement parts if something goes weird, and while I am NOT a hardware girl, their videos are clear enough that I've rebuilt like 75% of my A1 at this point, and they send me all the parts, so...

well I'll definitely have to go listen to Oma. we'll see how much I can remember. my food vocabulary was never that good, in spite of Mumi's best efforts. 🤣 (my host grandmother spoke in an Austrian dialekt so intense that even when I was otherwise fluent I couldn't always understand her. LOL)
