This immature Sharp-shinned Hawk (Accipiter striatus) visited my yard this morning, hoping that the bird feeder would be a ‘bird feeder.’ 🫤

Oscar is a large tabby, but lives with a standard poodle 🐩 that prefers her water and food dishes at a height allowing even a large cat to tuck himself beneath.

Thank you, Alan. The Steller’s are the larger of the two jays that come for peanuts, but the most skittish and shy as well. Guess they want to make the trip count! 😄
