Watched Darren Aronofsky's star-studded Caught Stealing. Fun adaptation, casting REALLY helps. But it's safe to say Caught Stealing is not an Aronofsky hit. Cat too cute.
She had a lot of screen time and she was giving her best most likely but still, it was getting dull pretty fast when story focused on her. Sad. I like De Armas.
Saw Ron Howard's Eden. Despite being based on a true story, a lot of stuff in the first 2 acts feels like filler. Kirby, Brühl and Law are great as ever. Sweeney is O.K. but unfortunately, even tho tried her best, this movie shows me that Ana De Armas can't carry a movie herself.
Saw Relay (2024). Good casting and decent story makes the it enjoyable. Fun thriller/drama flick but it is a bit slow at the beginning so brace yourselves.
Saw Barbarian dir. Zach Cregger's Weapons. Fun flick if you are into mystery/dramas. Rich cast pops but Amy Madigan specially is great. Great production. For someone who's mostly accustomed and known for comedy, Cregger is putting out some good work.
Saw She Rides Shotgun. I wasn't enjoying Taron Egerton's performances lately so, he was okay in this. Young Ana Sophia Heger is pretty good. But maybe this shoulda been a mini series? Plot and the editing had tv show vibes ngl. Overall it's whatever. Having John Lynch in cast helps.
I also saw Lars Von Trier's The House That Jack Built. Even tho it has some of the most fucked up moments in all media ever created, I am still into its unconventional narrative and gotta hand it to them; casting is just so right in this film. I think this is one of my favorite films now.
Also I am sad to learn Birol Güven's passing 5 years ago. He was some good ass actor.
So on internet's recommendation I watched couple of serial killer flicks. Fatih Akın's(Soul Kitchen. Love that one) The Golden Glove on of them. Jonas Dassler's transformation is insane. And this is based on a true story so "hard to watch" parts become really hard to stomach. 😐
I saw Fantastic Four and I am surprised how little dialogue is in this movie. It's bunch of statements or small talk between characters but actual conversation. 1rd & 3rd act sucked & even when his pregnant wife was in danger, Mr. Fantastic didn't do any wacky shit as I'd hope ☹️
Also this was one of my fav Joaquin Phoenix performances, we know Aster loves working w/ him but casting felt way too good. Maybe he wrote the part FOR him. There is also a "Pedro Pascal fatigue" campaign going on. I think people who are tired of him should def watch this film 🙃
Watched Ari Aster's Eddington. I am just gonna say it: When it comes to reimagining/retelling events I think Tarantino should take notes from this film cuz at least in Eddington, ending makes "some" sense. Not Aster's best but still enjoyed it, wish it was 15mins shorter tho.
Finished watching revival of King of the Hill and it is a 5 stars ⭐️ show and can't wait for new episodes next year. Mike Judge knows how to bring back his classics from dead. Also thanks to Hulu for dropping the whole season. Loved everything and loved it more than the OG series.
Too bad Gaiman is cancelled now... Also fuck him. And the wife.
Finished series finale of Netflix's The Sandman. As an enjoyer of couple of books I've read, show was same yet different. Casting sometimes work and sometimes it's awkward but that's Netflix. Ending was boring, overall good season. Sturridge will def be remembered as Dream Lord.
Hold on, Hulu released the whole new season of King of the Hill? Insane. I can't wait to binge it. Oh man!
I didn't like the 2. & 3. seasons cuz it's an one story split in 2 seasons, Netflix loves this shit, it's unnecessarily long and it drags lil bit. Also ending sucks cuz rich pigs get away with it.

Then again, loved the scene where they take a vote on how to kill a baby.

I saw Squid Game for the first time and I have to say I am impressed how they didn't hold back portraying how much depressing it has become living in South Korea. I like the first season more than the rest. Reason will be in comments.

Sometimes internet is right, this show kills
Saw 28 Years Later. It shows that Boyle & Garland collabing once more however I don't recommend to this title to anyone except people who are really into this franchise. Jodie Comer was pretty good as usual. I don't put the original to up there, yet this is a weak sequel nonetheless.
Last year's highlight was def Modded FF7 playthrough. Currently playing Dragon's Dogma atm, for the first time, I wonder if I am gonna have same amount of fun. Drop a follow if you wanna talk about games NOT about your business 👇

On a friend's recommendation, I started watching Big Mouth years ago and recently finished watching last 2 seasons. I am surprised Netflix didn't cancel it sooner for how much of a deranged show it is. It has a star-studded cast, John Mulaney is the GOAT but my fav is David Thewlis' Shame Wizard 😁
Watched John Maclean's samurai/thriller flick, Tornado. Its excellent cast unfortunately doesn't make the film to match Maclean's previous work, Slow West's cool, 3rd act suffers and falls shorter.
Watched M3GAN 2.0 and honestly, I don't want more Alita: Battle Angel anymore James Cameron, I want more of M3GAN. Ivanna Sakhno is a perfect aaddition to this cast and if you don't mind the slight genre shift from the first film, I think M3GAN 2 was pretty enjoyable. Kudos to everyone.
Since Superman (2025) gets the good buzz so far, I wish everyone involved a good box office. I was hoping to have fun but it didn't happen for me. I hope they make better job in future. As an enjoyer of GotG Holiday Special & Suicide Squad (2021) I expected more from James Gunn 🤷‍♂️
