marcus!! in my very first playthrough of fe7 i used him way too much and got a rude surprise when i got to cog of destiny and man could not kill ANYTHING. 13 yr old nami learned a sad lesson about jeigans that day.

maybe only tangentially related to your post but what you said made me think of how there is a type of (unfortunately common) parent who just blames their kids for any kid-related problems they might have, when it's the parents who birthed and are raising them. it's really sad.

my aunt who worked w special needs kids as an OT mentioned once that most if not all severe behavior challenges the kids had was bc of the parents' actions & habits. but the parents never wanted to hear that & insisted she "fix their kid." some parents refuse to look inward and take responsibility.
