Love to know where Showcase got their print/digital. It had one bit where it said “Oktober 30 1978” on the screen.

Colours quite muted too
Off to see Halloween on the big screen. First time since 2001-ish when I got to see it in an old coffin factory in Birmingham.
Classy bunch aren’t they.
Joe Hill should be the new Dr Who lead writer. And Robert Shearman should write more episodes too.

And all of that just to annoy Jane Tranter.
It’s a lovely shop. Not nearly as big as the previous premises but much more footfall. Seems to be thriving
He’s the part-time supply teacher who owns it.
It’s quite different to Stoker’s story though. It’s bizarre that it uses Stoker’s name in the title
So RTD gets to deal with that Billie Piper cliffhanger before a new showrunner and production company takes over Dr Who? That's how I read the BBC's statement.
In that time we have gone from Scott Sellars running recruitment to Matt Hobbs to whoever the fuck was brought in during the summer.

Yet Jeff Shi remains.
If we sack Pereira in November that will be the third wolves manager in four years to be sacked before Christmas.

Lage, then O’Neill had a full season before being sacked the following November-ish. Now in all likelihood Pereira.
True story - the quote on the front cover doesn’t come from a review of the book but from an application made to Newcastle council for a noise abatement order!

Recently released council accounts show Birmingham had hundreds of millions it could have used instead of going bankrupt & issuing extreme cuts, say 35 accountant researchers.

They're demanding an inquiry. Read the full story, in The Dispatch.
I’ve reached the point in reading a 1980s horror paperback where my interior reading voice is Garth Marenghi and I can’t take it seriously at all
This really has pissed me off. Pre-ordered this in about April. It’s literally called Tales for a Halloween Night and now it’s unavailable anywhere from UK booksellers. Booooooooooooooooo
Wtf!

I guess it needs retitling to 'John Carpenter's Tales for NEXT Halloween Night'
I need a laugh. Can some well-intentioned OAP botch the restoration of a work of religious art, please?

Today it’s a president posting stupid videos, tomorrow it will be something else and it will generate clicks for a hollowed out husk of a news media and then we quickly move on to the next and the next and the next. It’s exhausting and depressing. We deserve the utter shit state of politics.
Part of the reason I greatly cut down on reading/watching/listening to the news is because so much of it is ‘not normal’ but now very much is because the news economy is built on the reactions to the latest outrageous things said or done. Such a relentlessly depressing world we live in.
No Now TV, it began with a VHS tape

Shit! Just a few months before another wonderful Beautiful Days.
