Yes, showing AND telling—you need both.

SHOW: dramatize what happens in real time w/ details. These details impact reader.

TELL: summarize what happens in fewer words, less detail. Tell things reader needs to know but won’t have much impact.

Everyone has typos. We sure do, all the time. You need a copyeditor to catch them, no matter how good you are at doing it yourself. It's about getting a fresh set of eyes on the manuscript.
