But it is Trump who is abusing prosecutorial power over an over again to target not real crimes but just concocting stories to attack political enemies.

There is not some "escalation" or "both sides" politicizing prosecutions.

Trump is a criminal and was found to be one by multiple juries.

Trump whines about unfair prosecution, but New Yorkers have applauded a former Democratic State Assembly Speaker being indicted and multiple former Democratic Governors and Attorney Generals being forced to resign because of corruption and sexual abuse allegations.

One thing Cuomo's mealy-mouthed response should remind the media of: Trump was not taken down by Tish James & Manhattan DA because he's a Republican, he was taken down because he was corrupt and sexual abuser, just as Cuomo was taken down because he was corrupt and a sexual abuser.

As Mamdani says, this is mealy-mouthed platitude by Cuomo, not a challenge to rising authoritanism.

As of 2017, bus riders in NYC earn an average salary of $28K, well under subway riders ($40K).

If upheld on appeal, this seems like MAJOR victory restricting wide ranging ICE raids that arrest people without warrants.

Immediate impact is on Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Kentucky but the principle should extend nationwide.

I mean- I'm sure your little ML grouplet has infinite critiques of the 7th Congress plenary of the 5th International's discussion of this issue - but most people recognize that NYC voters electing a socialist to be mayor is workers exercising their control of collective transit decisions.
