But have you ever seen the clip where Data is asked to inspect a painting the Captain is working on, and upon seeing it, decides the crew of the enterprise and the ship itself must be destroyed, in order to eliminate the painting?

The name 'Banteng' had been rolling around in my thinker noodle for a while, so I finally decided to google it and see where I picked it up, and am delighted at the reminder.

I still... can't get over how cool this momemt was : )

I had only minimal interaction with both of these cuties before hoof. Baal, I had met before, but Thursday I had only just bumped into on twitter a time or three. I didn't expect to ever see the okapi in person! That's for sure!

For sure! There's not a lot of ungies out there!

I mean... I see a decent amount of deer these days. There were somwthing like 100 deer suiters at ANE this year, so we have the cirvids out and about. But I've seen relatively little representation from bovidae, at my local cons.

I've just kinda always been a coward.

The prey species fursona is kinda fitting. I don't even like the wolves looking at me, so there's no way I'd feel comfortable inviting confrontation.

Perhaps one day I will find my strength, and put the horns to good use...

That is the best feeling! I ran into a couple furs at the very start of my set of flights to ANE last year and they let me hang out with them at each stop along the way.

They were right in front of me at bag check. The fursuit head got flagged and inspected, because of the magnets in the eyelids.

I'm staying in a cabin with my far right coworkers, and they start dunking on furries;

One of them says, "I have yet to see a furry IRL, but I really want to, so I can cuss him out"

And... I'm actually delighted that my coworkers, somehow honestly don't know...

I had noticed that I struck a nerve when we all met up in the park.

I certainly didn't mean to upset.

But I can honestly say that I've been there.

Self worth and self esteem are really hard to secure.

Keep going. Stay passionate about your interests. Self worth and self esteem will return.
