However then my accent marks extension stopped working. I am spending more time messing with technology than translating...sounds just like when I was teaching. I have nowhere else from which to draw pride and purpose because 2024 and 2025 ruined everything- it keeps hitting me. #translation

They want to keep the format but they don’t understand that switching languages changes the size of many of the elements and tables. I even asked ChatGPT to help with optimal layout but it was being difficult. I have finally accepted I am going to have to tell them it is going to be different.

Well I cried and melted down for a good part of "World Mental Health Day" because I am translating a safety data sheet for the company my dad works for- they are selling supplies to a Canadian company so I am doing English- French.

UPDATE: In emailed statement to me / @reason.com, DHS alleges that WGN-TV producer Debbie Brockman "threw objects at Border Patrol’s car and she was placed under arrest for assault on a federal law enforcement officer."

Flagging that both Mike Johnson and Tom Emmer have now referred to the No Kings protest scheduled for 10/18 as a "hate America rally." As a teacher on hiatus (maybe permanently) who picketed 2.5 months on the side of a busy highway in November 2017 just to fight to keep the crap pay we already had, I stand in solidarity. No one gets it until you have been in those shoes.

girl was awful. Not only were we looked past, we were treated horribly. I have a relatively high IQ and was in gifted at a young age, but then around 5th grade I started to sink and I believed what everyone's treatment told me. I was stupid and lazy. This over decades gave me Complex PTSD.

And I am tired of it. I have dealt with severe depression & anxiety since age 18 and found out I am autistic at age 44 when my perimenopausal symptoms woke my neurodivergence like waking a bear in the dead of winter. I am autistic and I also have ADHD. Growing up in the 80's for a neurodivergent

I have to stand on my soapbox for a sec... I am 45 years old. For nearly all my life I have seen bad people labeled as "mentally ill," "sick in the head," "definitely autistic," and other debilitating conditions as a way to explain someone's malevolence.
