girl was awful. Not only were we looked past, we were treated horribly. I have a relatively high IQ and was in gifted at a young age, but then around 5th grade I started to sink and I believed what everyone's treatment told me. I was stupid and lazy. This over decades gave me Complex PTSD.

And I am tired of it. I have dealt with severe depression & anxiety since age 18 and found out I am autistic at age 44 when my perimenopausal symptoms woke my neurodivergence like waking a bear in the dead of winter. I am autistic and I also have ADHD. Growing up in the 80's for a neurodivergent

I have to stand on my soapbox for a sec... I am 45 years old. For nearly all my life I have seen bad people labeled as "mentally ill," "sick in the head," "definitely autistic," and other debilitating conditions as a way to explain someone's malevolence.

Yes my parents were born in '52 & '53 respectively, and said the same thing, peace & love back then has never left. The hippie baby boomer generation is leading the charge once again with protest know- every other generation lined up behind. We just show up in inflatable chicken and frog suits now🤣

And it took months to remember that I always was enough, even when I thought I was a burden. Hurting people are NOT a burden. You have ALWAYS been enough and don't deserve to be given up on. Fear of abandonment had me so desperate to be enough, I abandoned MYSELF in my fear of letting down others. Last January after a routine surgery (and the inauguration from hell) it quite ironically turned into this personified, desperate sort of alter ego that was just me severely dissociating.
