In retrospect my mission to evict mice from the heat revcovery unit was always doomed. Far cleverer than me, they soon overturned the humane traps, stole the bait, stuffed them with bedding and made a warm winter nest.

Back to the drawing board then.

An incongruous individual
A stark contrast to all the references to Jane Goodall over the last few days. You might think our politicians would read those and understand that more hatred is the antithesis of what is truly admired, popular and necessary.
The most myopic chancellor I can recall. Apart from Kwasi Kwarteng … obvs.
What if we stop shouting?

Those who don’t understand science feel disenfranchised by the system and our world of technology.

There’s a battle but each side is on a different battlefield screaming outrage into an infinite chasm between.

It’s not a fight about the science, it’s a fight for science.
If he underwent a mind-meld with a garden snail it’s the snail who’d come out of it more stupid.
There’s clear, positive correlation between economic success and inward migration. And, there’s no alternative, realistic way for an ageing population to pay for its own care. @wanderinggaia.bsky.social
The truth: we need migration.

The problem: too many politicians are terrified to say it.

Why? They're led by a) toxicity of the charlatans & b) wealthy media organisations who demand these useful distractions rather than us talking about inequality.

It’s hard to avoid palm oil because it goes under so many euphemistic names. We could do with large, clear ‘CONTAINS PALM OIL’ labels instead of misleading small print.
