So, uh, I am now going to stop applying to fed jobs - but might as well reshare this anyway. Open to any leads on work! VERY HAPPY to relocate! Won't use this resume format, obviously.

This resume format is used for US federal jobs; it's not the format I'd use for a private-sector role. However, it *is* highly detailed (understatement), so it's at least a good overview of all my relevant skills and experience.

A message from me, on Discord, with context removed:

I saw the art on the artist's BlueSky account, but the artist doesn't like people sharing their art without their permission. Plus, their BlueSky privacy settings don't allow offsite sharing - and I know Discord will ignore those settings, because the BlueSky architecture actually can't enforce them on third-party apps, but it still felt scummy.
So, I had to ask permission. In Japanese. The artist provided me the twitter link to share.
But damn. I was never that good in Japanese.

This is the first I’ve learned of the existence of a new Tron movie.

Which doesn’t mean they’re not advertising, but *does* mean they’re not advertising anywhere I’d see it (mostly online, but I don’t use Adblock on most sites so if they were advertising I *would* have seen it).

Spectrum Internet is down across most of the largest population centers in the US. Spectrum aware of the outage, saying their best guess is 6 hours before they get internet back to people. No word on the cause or why it’s so widespread.

If you only ever post in one language, you don’t need to worry about that. But if you ever post in multiple languages—even only rarely—it’s worth setting up a menu like mine. That can be done from your Settings menu, and then saved for easy swapping.

BlueSky actually can’t detect the language of a given post, so it relies on users to tell it, which can be done on a post-by-post basis. If I were to change my setting here to eg. French, you’d see a Translate option if your client is in English—even though this post is actually in English.

“English” is selected.

As you’d expect, Portland has a major problem with adequate housing (or lack thereof, rather) for a huge portion of its citizens. But of course, you’re not going to see that on the news.
