Oh my. Every year at Christmas I watch the movie "The Family Stone", in which she plays a dying woman.

That's going to be very hard to watch now this year.

Three of my mother's brothers fought in World War II. They all survived the war, but decades later one died of the histoplasmosis he contracted when he was hidden in a pigeon coop by French resistance fighters.

They were the original ANTIFA.

They would be horrified by what is happening now.

It happened as I knew it would. A Trumper of my acquaintance said to me, "Nobody could have predicted..." I snapped back, "I predicted! I outright TOLD you all this would happen. You just didn't give flying f*** until it affected YOU. "

We'll probably never speak again, but I'm glad I clapped back.

Some spectacular and different flowers today from Roses for the Soul, including parrot and Bee orchids. Some of these pictures came from Bluesky, and are used with my gratitude, but others were garnered elsewhere.

Those two cartoon movies about the emotions (can't think of their names right now) have, I think, done wonders for our generations of children watching them. It gave them permission to feel their feelings.
