Protesting the regime is dangerous regardless of tactics & open fighting in the streets is exactly what the regime wants - read a f'n history book.
The civil rights movement faced far worse than this & prevailed w/o open fighting

Just a guess but the Qatari base may be in cahoots with the klannies, their own private separatist Idaho. This allows the Qataris to protect Idaho & nearby redstate airspace if the US generals balk.
The generals didn't kiss the dear leader's ring & pee wee german is getting itchy for civil war.

China announced further restrictions on rare earths & the best our dear leader can do is just slap 100% tariffs on those the next day?
Any other potus would have waited for a F2F meeting set thru the State dept before deciding.

Exactly, nato allies in Europe grew weary of our bases by the 60s. It was needed during Europe's recovery & reconstruction but they were self-sustaining by then. It was the military industrial complex that Ike warned us about setting cold war policy. They never left & are still calling the shots.

Check my op, and I have no issues with joint training exercises anywhere here or abroad, I said no non-US military bases in the US.
No one, not even a nato member, has ever had a base here to my knowledge.
They bought this base by bribing him with a plane & investing in a shat-ton of his crypto.

Um another country having a sovereign military installation within our borders is a huge security risk. 👀
Since it's Idaho I'd venture that the Christian Nationalist separatists now have a de facto air force.
