Fortunately, I still have a job, because my sister and houseguest both rely on SNAP. These are scary times for all, but especially for the most vulnerable: the young, the old, the disabled and the poor.

SNAP provides about $6 a day for food — which is just enough to help keep families from going hungry, but never enough to get ahead. If funds don't go out this weekend, millions of kids, seniors, families, and people with disabilities will wake up Saturday without money for groceries.
