Where has the "entire world community" been up till now??

"It has been two years since Yehuda Cohen's youngest boy Nimrod was captured by Hamas militants. Even on the eve of a ceasefire and the return of the hostages, he writes, Israel must change and recognise a state of Palestine - and Netanyahu must be held accountable - so that we may say: never again"

This is not an England problem only. Here in Scotland despite the rise in hate crimes & presence of the far right, many schools still are not acknowledging it let alone offering support to learners that are feeling anxious & scared.

That's not good enough.

The real issue we should never forget is the world allowed it all to happen and looked on. Stopping atrocities when they are happening, surely is what we should be striving for instead of always looking for justice after the fact. The lives list will never forgive us.

Alison has been a formidable colleague in Glasgow, and a true ally in every sense of the word, raising her voice when others don't ✊🏼 Recognised this year at the @s4mee.bsky.social awards too, she'll be a huge loss to the @uofgheadship.bsky.social. #SLS will be in good hands.

Congratulations 💐🎉👏🏼👏🏼

Yet not being acknowledged properly by govt, the public or our institutions.

Well that is what it is I guess.

On today’s workplace day of action 9.10.25 and every day until a just and lasting peace is established, we stand in solidarity with Palestinians.

I was about to say, forget it, she's irrelevant, but then realised, we used to think that about Farage too... 😳

2/A big problem right now is the disgusting behaviour being modelled by adults in society is influencing how yiung people think and behave. I'm not sure if the SSTA survey asked specifically abt ASN. Maybe @mrdissent.bsky.social can clarify for us?
nuthmani.bsky.social
I think the article and the govts guidance last year was specifically focused on behaviour related to abuse, misogyny and racism for instance. Ot is understood that asn can mean issues can happen but this particular piece is not abt that, as clearly that need specific approaches. A big problem 1/

A teacher's strike in the run up to a parliamentary election is really not going to be a good luck for the SNP.

I remember when Heseltine lost the Tory leadership contest to Major. I've never been a tory, but remember thinking how he seemed more impressive.I wonder how things would be different if we had had different leaders over the last 20 to 30 years. Too many PMs have dragged us backwards in recent times.

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social asks Lord Heseltine about remarks he made at Conservative Party Conference.
