Sure it’s fun to read some junk, but I don’t get the opportunity to deep dive into reading except on vacation. So, I try to pick at least one classic. I think being just a little bit intentional will pay dividends.

I‘ve found @ztameez.bsky.social’s Chas.Sumner biography a great complement to the Jon Meacham book from a couple of years ago that focused on the years leading up to the Civil War. Two lenses on an important part of US history that is still resonating today.
