I mean they’ve lost every other year since then so I was hoping a win might do it. Instead now I’m pinning my hopes on the Mariners and the Etsy witches.

I’m finally switching models of CGM and I already have complaints. Like, sure having the sensor be good for 25 days means you get two more days for your $75, but it also means that it doesn’t need changing on the same day of the week every time. Nor do all months have 30 days!

I want to bring MAJUSCULE back into use so badly

Maybe they’ll have cars back in after the weekend?

Does he believe you are going to be camping rough?

We have a fall nor’easter moving in and it’s like when a tropical storm moves in but 20 degrees colder. Sticky and cold! But I’m outside trying to get as much Not In The House as I can because it’s supposed to rain the next two days. :(

Read this to my husband who just sighed

Drove out of our way to go to a shop we’ve been meaning to visit for ages that was supposed to be open until 9 pm and they were closed. 😭

Dude walks into a semi crowded picnic area outside a brewery and immediately drops the leashes in his two small poodle things. Why???

Coworker is texting me on a holiday weekend about a thing I gave her step by step directions for. It’s not that important!!

Oh no I get that part, but the not taking it down in the face of people calling it out might be because of being offline. But yeah, it’s an account I’d block on follow count alone for being disingenuous.

Looking at the time stamps, she may have gone to bed after posting and isn’t up yet but I’m feeling generous this morning.

There are labeling costs associated with it since they have to differentiate between bottles sold in the district and in Maryland/Virginia. That seems to be the biggest issue. Also there’s probably some bureaucracy headaches and record keeping needs.

I need the Etsy witches to come through for the Mariners.

The number of water bottles I find in my small neighborhood guys weekly is ridiculous. It’s probably bin escapes but I’ve basically trained Penny’s retrieve on them. Now I just need to teach her to carry it to a bin and put it in!

Yeah, the county put drops in a bunch places like community centers and cop shops and they fill up, but just based on what I still see in recycling bins from people who didn’t get the memo yet, the uptake is probably low.

The problems are still there: broken glass contaminated recycling streams, dangers to workers, etc. but they’ve never bothered to explain that part.

My county dropped glass from recycling pick ups a few years ago and then set up drop off points and now gets like 94% pure glass. It’s mostly used as road fill but the high quality means they’re looking for other options. Meanwhile a new garbage co is like “we’ll pick up glass!” And do what with it?
octopusgallery.bsky.social
Yes, many times. From when they were counting them by hand at Meijer to the time they got machines.

Glass and metal are also problems but less obvious ones because they sink. I’m glad you recycle but clearly not everyone does. It’s 70% in deposit states vs 24% in non.
