Yeah, and that never works. Apropo of the discussion of partisanship yesterday, it's a little underrated how deeply partisanship has damned the conservative movement. There's not a whole lot of people in the movement that can get past publicly leaving the party

I've said that they were like that when I was in school, but to be more precise, a group of 4 Young Republicans was 3 policy wonks and the guy saying that maybe child labor is good for certain people. That last guy still got invited to events

Another good one: apparently about a decade before I was there, a previous IT guy just screencapped all of the pages a relatively high up employee was going to over the course of the week. Printed out all of the porn and handed it to him, telling him to stop

I think that is something to take away, though. A lot of outsider failures seem to be a reticence to just read the field and plan accordingly. And to give Planter credit he does (mostly) seem to be doing that, despite what people are saying/want from him
