Israel has killed approximately 200 journalists in Gaza in just 22 months, which is more than the combined number of journalists killed during WWII and the entirety of the Vietnam War.

One year ago today, this image of Anas Al-Sharif amidst the aftermath of a particularly horrific Israeli attack on a school in Gaza went viral.

Israel recognized the anniversary by killing him, along with four other journalists:
