I have a trial in Oxford next week. I know that the Local Authority is putting in place some rather firm measures to dissuade people driving and parking in the city centre. Does anyone use the Park and Rides? I'm usual a bit sceptical of them but was wondering if they aren't too bad in reality?

Volume I, which was to be the introduction, was never published. the intro was subsequently published with volume IV

its somewhat annoying that the Selden society's translation of _fleta_ is in 3 volumes , numbered II, III and IV.

Incidentally one of the last practising DLs was Dr Thomas Tristram who was a probate specialist and took silk after the Judicature Acts. He wrote "Tristram and Coote's Probate Practice" which is now in its 33st edition. One of the few shadows of the DLs' secular work left today.

It's been quiet here lately, I admit; between the chaos of the old year ringing in the new, making almanacs for 2026 for people, using a pickaxe to dig out my way through snowcrete in this bitterly cold winter, teaching my Hermetic Synaxis stuff to my test group (it's going fantastic with the testers!), and...well, <waves vaguely at the outside world>, it's been a bit of a busy time.
