Retired Navy, retired Correction Officer, retired VA. Progressive resister. Proudly ANTIFA! I retired to my forever home, ageing gracefully in the beautiful north woods of Minnesota. If God ever retires, I'm pretty sure this is where he'll come.

My great, great, great grandpa was an antifa veteran. That was when he was 13 and ran away from home to join the US Army fighting the rebellious Confederacy.

And there are branches in Normandy (right behind the beach) and in the Vosges mountains.

If you’re looking for the fascist fucktards, who are the actual threat. They can be found at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC!

So did I. We SHOULD have laws that allow us to prosecute anyone who has violated the law. I would agree if I could change your post to read: We should not have laws that allow us to prosecute JUST anyone, without a valid reason, without ensuring they have been provided due process. Is that better? 🫶

God bless you, child. It takes about four minutes to identify the email addresses for those four people. Write what youy want to say on a blank document. You don't even have to save it. then just copy and paste it into those four emails. Total time: negligible.

These brightened my whole day, so I thought I'd share them, in case your day could use a little brightening.

This may seem like a bit of a reach, but we’re talking about a country where its president buried his first wife on his golf course to turn it into a cemetery so that he wouldn’t have to pay taxes.

We SHOULD have laws that allow us to prosecute literally anyone who violates the law. It just shouldn't be driven by the whims of a wannabe dictator.

I have taken, twice, that cognitive test Trump took. There is no perfect score. It tests progress. Getting a perfect score on a MOCA test is the same as getting a perfect score on your age. It's not a qualitative score, it's a quantitative score. Trump lies when he says hello.

You know who takes a cognitive test? People whose family members suspect their loved one is suffering from dementia. If he kept getting “perfect” scores…they wouldn’t keep administering them. My take? He blew the first one he ever took. Now, they’re tracking the decline. I’d bet my hot coffee on it.

I believe it was Thomas Jeffeson who said, "The House Speaker you elect is the House Speaker you deserve."

We are often the good guys, Elaine, but we are not a homogenous demographic, 330 million strong. We’re not perfect, but we saved the world from fascism and defended the world against communism. If our accomplishments don’t define us as a nation, then neither do the anomalous bad apples (like MAGA.)
oldsalt946.bsky.social
I use the “Not all…” argument whenever someone denigrates any entire demographic, as if they represent one homogenous pov. Silence is acquiescence. Remaining silent in the face of prevarication may be MAGA, but it damned sure isn’t American!

It's like, "have you actually MET us?" We have a horrible track record. And it's not like we all got our shit together with passing civil rights legislation in the 1960s - just because you pass some legislation, does not change what people believe.

America had to be shamed into Civil Rights.
