While walking in Beacon Hill last night, I saw two former commercial buildings tucked away in a residential area converted into residences. Not something you see a ton of in Seattle, but it’s pretty common place in St. Louis.

The technical reason is that there is nowhere to cross Aurora safely in Fremont. We could make it safe but Seattle has not made it a priority.

Vehicles kill a person every 4 months on average on Aurora Ave in Seattle. This is another preventable tragedy that the city committed to ending by 2030. We will not meet that goal and will continue to see this trend rise unless city leadership makes a drastic change.
