@sngreenways.bsky.social
We organize and mobilize people to make every neighborhood a great place to walk, bike, and live.
Last month, Rita Hulsman was honored as a Seattle Kraken Hero of the Deep for her advocacy for safer streets. Through her leadership and the One Roof Foundation, SNG received a $32K Kraken Unity Fund gift to support safer walking, biking, and rolling in Seattle. 💙

HOME ZONE: we updated N Greenwood Ave and N 95th St to make it easier to cross the street and prevent cut-through traffic. This project was funded by the Seattle Transportation Levy, built by SDOT crews, and based on crash data and resident input from the Aurora-Licton Urban Village Home Zone.

Everyone: how cool!

Me: Cool! And also we need to extend the 2nd Ave S bike lanes to the stadiums starting at S Washington St so that everyone can bike and scoot there safely, and pedestrians can rule on Occidental Ave.

Transit riders have been forced to sit through traffic on Seattle’s slowest and least reliable bus for decades. Finally we have a mayor willing to prioritize mobility and the climate to improve our transit system and give Seattleites the freedom of mobility they deserve. Roll out the red carpet!

Huge congratulations to the amazing community volunteers and advocates @sngreenways.bsky.social and @fixthel8.bsky.social who paved the way for this change. I'm so proud of you. And thank you Mayor Wilson! #Seattle

Huge congrats to the @fixthel8.bsky.social team 🎉

Volunteers turned chronic bus delays on Denny into a vivid, public demonstration — racing the L8 by walking, leapfrogging, and even line dancing to show, in real time, how much time riders lose every day.

Amazing to see their advocacy pay off.
We are beyond honored to have joined Mayor Wilson this morning to announce an executive order for bus lanes on Denny Way. We can't wait to finally Fix the L8 and see what she has in store for the next 4 years of Seattle's transit

📈 So far every month of the pedestrianization pilot sales have been up!

It’s December 30th. Pike Place Market is packed with people awkwardly standing or sitting on the curb to eat treats from vendors. Removing the street seating for the winter was a mistake. Seattle has a mild climate with days where people want to sit and linger year round

Nearly 1.7 miles of protected bike lanes, traffic calming, and pedestrian upgrades opened from the Jose Rizal Bridge to Jefferson Park.

This happened because Beacon Hill Safe Streets organized for over a decade—pushing back when projects were cut.
