Thank you @nickdeshais.bsky.social and @seattletimes.com for covering last week’s events at Pine & 4th.

SDOT has taken a big step in the right direction. I hope they can learn from this.

Seattle Neighborhood Greenways and Cascade Bicycle Club are both represented. @nondriver.bsky.social is transportation co-lead!
Mayor-elect Katie Wilson just announced her transition team, with 61 members overseeing different policy areas. Transition teams are largely an expression of values and policy focus, although I expect some of these folks will end up in the administration. publicola.com/wp-content/u...

Help ensure the I-90 Trail lights through Judkins Park are restored by sending a quick thank you to local leaders pushing for a fix.
Thank you! I can't wait for the lights to be back!
The lights on the I90 Trail have been out for over a year, but we recently got notice from Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) that they have identified that they have jurisdiction to fix the underlyin...

@seattledot.bsky.social has a framework that acknowledges these horrific crashes are preventable, Vision Zero.

However, there’s no framework (e.g. Emergency Streets) to rapidly respond to horrific crashes and ongoing known hazards.

@wilsonforseattle.bsky.social we need a Vision Zero Response Team.

Bluesky praise for Seattle. We'll take it. ☺️
Almost certainly Seattle. Population went from 600k->800k, the city went from no rail system to a top-10 busiest network, region became an absolute economic powerhouse, there’s a total transformation of the waterfront, and so much more

Congratulations Mayor-Elect @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social! 🎉

Having a Mayor that mostly walks, rolls, and relies on transit to get around Seattle everyday is incredibly exciting.

She knows the challenges & hazards people experience and I look forward to her working with community on solutions.

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell just conceded to progressive challenger Katie Wilson at a ceremony at City Hall.

Wilson won by about 2,000 votes in a close race.

We've seen enough. Katie Wilson is the next Mayor of Seattle.
🚨🚨 Just in: Katie Wilson has expanded her lead in the Seattle mayor race. She is now leading by 1,976 votes, which means that the race is no longer in automatic recount territory.

Nearly 1,100 days after safety advocates painted a guerrilla crosswalk at Harvard Ave E and E Olive Way (and SDOT washed it off), there is now a permanent crosswalk here.

You know Seattle has some gaps in its micromobilty wayfinding when the Downtown Seattle Association’s PSA on good scooter etiquette has them riding the wrong direction in multiple places.

Still, much appreciated, and I’d love for this video to play before each Lime session starts.

If you are even remotely interested in the history of bicycling in America, it is worth a watch.

Check your ballot. It’s possible that it’s been challenged due to leaving the ballot envelope unsigned or a signature mismatch. You can cure that with King County Elections so your ballot is counted! kingcounty.gov/en/dept/elec...

Thanks for the great video @shifter.info!

As you said, Seattle is a great bike city because we have great people fighting for it.

In addition to @cascade.org, shoutout to @sngreenways.bsky.social with 20+ neighborhood groups doing the work to making Seattle a great place to walk, roll, and live.
It can feel like a tough time for those who believe bikes are key to making our cities safer and better. So here are some lessons from a city that is bucking the trend

Much deserved 👏 🎉
We've been blown away by the support we've gotten for our campaign and still can't believe how many people showed up to Race the L8.

TCC has been an invaluable ally and we are honored to receive this recognition.

We'll continue to fight (and race) until we get bus lanes on Denny Way.
