Transit riders have been forced to sit through traffic on Seattle’s slowest and least reliable bus for decades. Finally we have a mayor willing to prioritize mobility and the climate to improve our transit system and give Seattleites the freedom of mobility they deserve. Roll out the red carpet!
The red paint goes on the road not on the bus!
Hey @fixthel8.bsky.social!
Will this make the 8 faster by using a RapidRide bus? /S

We had a great time tonight talking to @seattledot.bsky.social about Bus Lanes on Denny Way!

The Mayor’s order mandates a plan by April 17. We’re excited that SDOT is thinking about more than Denny and will keep iterating on solutions in the coming years

New sidewalk coming for Denny Way!

Should be a lot wider and more comfortable to walk on! Hopefully they can build it soon and reopen it.

👻 Ghost Bus Shelter 👻

The bus shelter at Denny and Stewart is missing…again! After it was destroyed by a driver in Dec ‘23, Metro finally replaced it in Dec ‘25 but just removed it.

Luckily, it’s for good reason!

Bus lanes on Denny Way!
Okay, online hivemind: What are the lowest hanging fruit for quick fixes for safe streets in Seattle?
Mayor Mamdani brought an end to the Williamsburg Bridge "bump," which he described as a "veritable gauntlet of cycling punishment." This is only the beginning of a $70-million overhaul of this section of Delancey that will start this fall. nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/01/06/g...

Almost TWO YEARS after a driver veered off the road and destroyed a bus shelter, fully grown tree, and concrete seating, the shelter has been replaced.

We’ve been begging for improvements here since the crash. Thank you @seattledot.bsky.social @kingcountymetro.bsky.social for coming through!

Katie Wilson wants a mayor's office that reaches out proactively, that has open lines to grassroots organizations and that builds political support from the ground up.
