I dunno, if a deeply knowledgeable person who has been reporting on transit for multiple advocacy journo sites for over a decade says they don’t need to know what a frog hopper loop rail (or whatever) is, maybe they don’t actually need to know!

What if that state Sen. instead of telling colleagues not to ask for more money told them to plan to focus most of their time and attention on progressive revenue in the upcoming session?

Lovely gurl.

I hesitate to make the comparison but I wonder if Larry Andrews has ever met Alex Tsimmerman (sp).
November 25, 2025 at 4:51 AM
Pretty sure that the president is already taxing frankincense via tariffs, Larry. It’s imported!
Andrews says we're living under the regime of "Lisa Brown's tariffs ...what's next, will Lisa Brown tax frankincense too before Christmas?"

"You are therefore requested to reconsider the desirability of pressing your point at this time."
I just happened to watch a video on this topic. Those in particular were chosen after ww2 by a Montreal linguist for ICAO. They’re similar words in English, French, and Spanish (vs eg “fox”). Foxtrot was almost swapped for football, but was found to be more distinct. src: youtu.be/UAT-eOzeY4M

LMAO Fidelity is as bad as Xfinity and in fact worse as despite my spelling my name and double checking it, they got it wrong. Amazing. "C" sounds NOTHING like "S" by the way and this is why I should revert to *always* using the NATO phonetic alphabet.

Only some batteries : RP-1304 and HL-RP-S1304 and not the safe shield ones…
And rad already tells people to check for damage to batteries.
November 24, 2025 at 7:11 PM
I'd like to know more. At the very least, is Rad at least willing to facilitate disposal, like, drop off at its location? (Is there a location? I don't know Rad that well.)
The importer, Rad Power Bikes Inc., of Seattle, Washington has refused to agree to an acceptable recall. Given its financial situation, Rad Power Bikes has indicated to CPSC that it is unable to offer replacement batteries or refunds to all consumers.

Seattle Public Utilities has info on how to dispose. Include free drop off Sun/Mon/Tues at transfer stations. www.seattle.gov/documents/De...

CPSC urges consumers to immediately remove the battery from the e-bike and dispose of the battery following local hazardous waste disposal procedures. Do not sell or give away these hazardous batteries.

The hazardous batteries can unexpectedly ignite and explode, posing a fire hazard to consumers, especially when the battery or the harness has been exposed to water and debris.

It's so funny to me that one person thinks it's rude to do this, which implies they do not think it's rude to leave your shit in common areas expecting other people to wait for you because god forbid someone touch your laundry for a brief moment in order to do their own laundry.
There seems to be some weird thing in my building where people are afraid of removing laundry from the washer or dryer if it’s done. I am not afraid to do that. If people don’t want me to touch their laundry, they can remove it promptly. It’s very easy.

If you leave your laundry in the washer or dryer for more than 10-15 minutes after the cycle is done, and the timeslot is not assigned, I will absolutely be putting that laundry in a basket if I need to use the washer.

Where can I hang out late Monday that is biking distance (say, 2 miles MAX, less than 1 is better) from Discovery Park, say for happy hour/good snacks?

Also, even though I’d say only about a third of the mending I did was for him/his clothing, right now I have very little interest in mending projects.

The times I miss RH most are those like today, waiting for the bus, seeing the AliceLynx-sized ginger floof in the window of an apartment across the street. Something I’d usually take a picture of and DM to him.
