My apologies if I'm sometimes weird to anyone who says something nice to me. Because my brain lies to me constantly, I tend to assume people barely tolerate me until they say otherwise. So I'm surprised whenever that turns out not to be the case, and it can take me a minute to recalibrate.

Returned from a trip yesterday. Drove 10+ hours. Recovering today. Ibuprofen is awesome. The existential anguish of daily life are returning with a vengeance, but at least my muscles aren't trying to mimic an Escher drawing.

I just banged the hell out of my left big toe again, this time on my bedroom's doorframe as I was reacting to suddenly hearing someone putting a key in my front door (they probably had the wrong apartment), so whichever deity has declared war on my left foot has clearly struck again. #ow
