I'm not sure I agree. Yes, much of the training data is written by people who are certain, because they're knowledgeable about the topic. But LLMs will sound certain about guesses, such as when they're asked for current data and they rely on old data. Or when they hallucinate.

And it shouldn't be that way. LLMs are designed to sound certain even when they're not. That's the problem with them - they don't *understand* what they're saying, they just match patterns of speech.

There are many reasons to not like AI chatbots, but I don't think they're keeping people from reading Wikipedia.

It's not just about the CSA. Epstein and his clients made a killing off of the 2008 financial crisis, and very powerful people, some of whom weren't even involved with the underage sex trafficking, really don't want anyone taking a close look at his finances.

No one wants these stupid age verification laws. Kids can't buy their own devices. It's on parents to not give kids free access to everything on the Internet. Parental controls are a thing. Not giving your 12-year-old a smartphone is also a thing.
