Sam Rimmer was a dad-to-be when he was fatally shot in 2022. A coroner said today that that his family would have no justice while no one had been charged. His mum told me that people have to listen to their consciences to help the police investigation.

Merseyside Police told the ECHO that the force hasn't ruled out making more arrests in the case of Axel Rudakubana. They've said it remains a live investigation and the probe continues as part of a "broader piece of work".

Following Rudakubana's sentencing, the ECHO questioned Lancashire Constabulary about why the force chose to not arrest him when he told officers he "wanted to stab someone" due to "embarrassing" videos on his TikTok account.
