Indeed, Delerue took home the prize. If only the Academy had thought to nominate Sally Kellerman in the supporting actress category that year. ALR was a career-best for her, and a master class in comic acting.
All qualities we took for granted.
Although I don't like Vivaldi's music in real life, I think Georges Delerue's repurposing of it throughout "A Little Romance" works exquisitely.

Not that Oscars mean anything, but Diane Keaton certainly should have been nominated for Shoot the Moon. The sheer bravery of her work in it.... <shivers!>
I love it, too. Shoot the Moon was a career-best (or close enough) for everyone in it -- and certainly for Alan Parker.
Agreed! Along with Manhattan, this is my favorite performance of hers.
