Don Doko Don was one of many late-80s/early-90s games from Taito that were keeping the single screen arcade format alive. Taito ported the game to the PC Engine and it looked pretty good. Unfortunately, there is a significant problem that holds it back.

The US cover art for Valis III manages to make bikini armor look even less comfortable than it normally does.

This game has not one, but two translations in the works! There was a third at one point as well until they learned about the other two. At least one of the translations is planning on making adjustments to the seizure-rific stuff thankfully.

The PC Engine's true colour palette isn't linear RGB; the palette goes through a transformation when it gets modulated. And while its composite output is good, S-Video is better. Here's a video that shows off @zaxour 's TurboNanza modification:

Power Drift on the PC Engine is a real case of "You were so focused on what you could, you never thought about if you should!" An amazing technical accomplishment of a fairly accurate port of a Sega super scaler game spent on one of the least interesting super scaler game.

I would like to say that this game will help people to want to explore the PC Engine library. But I don't think it's actually going to achieve that. I don't hate the game, but it's definitely not a great game. I don't know, maybe whatever improvements that are being implemented will help?
