Such good folk horror. Have you seen the folk horror documentary: Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched? So so good and a great way to get more recommendations.
Attn: Any progressive third party.

I am DESPERATE to have someone to vote for who isn’t a fucking spineless Dem. Give me socially progressive policies that push the envelope and ensure the “least”among us are cared for and I will give you my heart, time and $.

I just want a party willing to FIGHT

THE GULF OF UR MOMS BUTT

*high fives self*
I just deleted both Waze and Google maps from my phone and left single star reviews for both. It’s up to you, but I encourage you to do the same.

That said. Any good alternatives out there?

My almost finished Athame. It feels wildly powerful. Final step is etching sigils and charging under the full moon. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity today. #witchsjy
How it started vs. how it’s going.
Making my athame today. Fire, air, earth and eventually a quench. Putting myself inti this thing. Every strike an intention. #witchsky
For what it’s worth journalism is meant to uncover the truths that make the powerful uncomfortable when revealed. This new WaPo mission is fucking bullshit. Sad to see the fourth estate die under the weight of bloated oligarchs.
Wild at Heart introduced me to elastic storytelling, the joy of being angular, thrash metal, individuality and personal freedom, Willem Dafoe, Laura Dern, the bonkers genius of Nic Cage, the big tragedy of love, the art of violence, empathy for outsiders and the fantastic cool of being who you are.
My first David Lynch film was Wild at Heart. I was in middle school and it hit me like a sledge hammer. Everything about it was frightening and shocking and irresistibly cool. I fell deeply in love with that movie and it has echoed through my life. I have been hooked on his work ever since.
I can’t deal with Lynch’s death. This one hurts so much.

His work taught me about art when I was still very very young. And his heart is woven deeply into my experience of the world. We didn’t get enough.

“Delicately” saucing your scrod.
We did have a Solstice ritual that they were part of. I think they did enjoy it. I felt a bit awkward because I’m returning to the craft, so a bit rusty leading the ritual. But we did it! And I hope to do something for Imbolc.
The last time I practiced witchcraft I was in my 20s. Finding time for ritual was easy. A full moon Monday night was not a problem. Now, as a married adult with two kids, it’s harder. I lit a candle, gave an offering and incense, said thank you. It was brief. But it was all I had. #witchsky
What’s this fun deck!? I live the art.
“That our job always and forever was to refuse Apocalypse in all its forms and work cheerfully against it”

- Leif Enger, from the book I Cheerfully Refuse.
Finishing out 2024 with one more deadlift PR. 255lbs x 7. 💪🔥 #gymlife

(Repost because posting after a dealift means really bad spelling.)
Today my deck gave me The World. I love it when this stuff happens: The end of the fool’s journey on the last day of the year, and a promise of completion and fulfillment of endeavors to come IF you are willing to give back to the world. #tarotsky #witchsky
Oh, hell yeah. I’ve picked up the same habit with these delicious, thin, double ginger numbers I found.
I forgot the alt text so I’m putting it in this reply: image shows a wand made of natural wood root, it has a natural pistol-type grip and is wrapped in purple wool string and copper wire which hold a malachite stone halfway along the wand.
I’ve been working on my wand for a long time. Solstice feels like a good time to finish it.

I found this root on a hike. It feels like it was made for my hand.

Hey #witchsky! I don’t know why this confuses me, but when do ya’ll celebrate Solstice night and the return of the sun? The 20th to the morning of the 21st, or the 21st to the morning of the 22nd?
I’ve had to run outdoor extension cords out the window in the past. Not ideal but it works. Or if you have a garage, plug in there.
