Very fun. Where does it start to breakdown? Tossing animation?

Panic should be just a super boring utility app maker but instead they do weird, great shit all the time 👏👏👏

Like every business, Panic has a curated, themed playlist that plays in our lobby, emanating office-parkily from a weird rock speaker.

The vibe goal? 80's-corporate, EPCOT center, inspirational slideshow of Apple II quarterly results, slight unease/discomfort, and personal computer optimism.

A spread from “Sinclair Programs”, a magazine that shared BASIC software for readers to copy. Some of these go pretty hard. via @goodspeed.bsky.social casualarchivist.substack.com/p/full-spect...
A magazine page scan. It reads "Kingdom" at the top followed by a series of programming instructions for a game.

Ahhh @grillitype.bsky.social, forever the masters of the typeface microsite (and also designing fonts I guess)

I just started playing DS1 after hearing DS2 was so good. And it’s fun and very polished to me (admittedly it’s the director’s cut which changes some of the landscape and missions). Makes me think the main problem with DS1 is people expected it’d be MGSV meets P.T. and it’s not.

Fontstand have a survey going right now for designers, you fill it out and get a bunch of free fonts from its members! Here's some experiments with some of them—Klim Type’s Maelstrom and Dynamo’s Whyte.

Kagi is like using a search engine when they were good. Instead of slop, summaries, or ads you get links. They give you 100 free searches to try it out then $5 a month after that. (Stumbled across it in a @davidpierce.xyz article I think?)

Whaaat? Scoundrels! Really surprising they don’t make that accessible to developers. Fingers crossed they open that up 🤞

Ah, I getcha. I guess 2x is an unusual case where it’s sort of a pseudo-lens, a crop but still 12MP (just don’t get the benefits of binning). Personally I use 2x the most but understand the dedication to the physical!

This focal length slider is incredibly satisfying to use 👌 Would love the option to have a 1.5x and 2x here—perhaps via settings? 35mm and 50mm always feels to me like _the_ camera focal lengths (and why I bothered getting the pro at all)

Not sure why bluesky is adding ambient cicada noise to the background of this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The bullfrog in a tweed suit whose land I live on, came by to tell me they were busy planting this year's carrots. He proudly told me he still employs two gardeners, as his father did, though "only one maid." He then observed the rising spring sun and said "it's all diminishing."

Also if you got any favourite scarf recommendations that’d be nice too. Currently looking at Drakes Mughal print ones. Good of you to save the cats!
