At some point, we may need to consider organizing a tax boycott.

Nobody in power will care if you or I suspend automatic federal withholding from our paychecks.

But a lot of people in power will care very much if you *and* I *and* forty or fifty million other Americans all do so at the same time.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that most American men — young, middle-aged, and elderly — have *not*, in fact, ever gotten Nazi tattoos, and would not have cared to associate with a man who had.
Platner’s entitlement and self-pity are grating. In a democracy, absolutely nobody has any kind of “right“ to be ”in politics.“ Neither voters nor journalists are under the slightest obligation to forgive, be “fair” to, or give another chance to a candidate with a problematic past.
States run elections.

There is basically no way Trump could interfere with that short of an all-out, illegal, un-Constitutional attack on state sovereignty — something like trying to put the blue states under military rule.

And that’s how the Second Civil War would begin.
If Congress refuses to do its job, do we still have a legitimate Congress?

If the Executive Branch violates the law with impunity, do we still have a legitimate Executive Branch?

If we don’t have a legitimate Congress or Executive Branch, are we still obligated to obey the federal government?
Any business that demands I set up an account with them when it’s clearly unnecessary stops having me as a customer. No exceptions.
If Congress doesn’t stop this, they are no longer legitimate.
I thought Ms. Fifth Place was shilling Ivermectin. That gig not paying the bills?
These people have no fucking idea what they’re doing. A room full of third-graders could run the American economy better than them.
Why doesn’t this dipshit just switch parties already?
Here’s what could put a stop to this shit: Americans en masse refusing to pay their federal taxes, suspending withholding from their paychecks, until Congress has impeached and convicted Trump.
A large number of right-wing Evangelicals are no longer Christians in any meaningful doctrinal sense, and should not be referred to as such.
This is illegitimate.

If it happens, we need to stop paying our federal taxes.
If there were ever a reason for a coordinated blue-state federal tax boycott, this would be it.
I’m not a fan of the Democratic gerontocracy, but Schumer may have saved the day here.
I've been a NYT digital subscriber since 2010, and their memory-holing of the No Kings protests is ensuring I won't be one in 2026.
I can't fathom how even Republican, Trump-supporting voters in South Carolina are able to feel anything but extreme revulsion towards this honorless coward.
With apologies for going off-topic: if by Tuesday morning there hasn't been a clear statement from NYT's leaders about why you've had bascially no coverage or discussion of the No Kings protests, I'll be setting my digital subscription -- which I've had since 2010 -- to non-renew.
Why am I paying federal taxes, again?
Tomi Lahren’s still putting out new material? Her act is as stale at this point as Kid Rock’s.
Was it the OG Napoleon or the lame knock-off Napoleon whose jewels they stole?
At first I thought the guy was complaining because he’d actually *drawn* the illustration/animation himself, and it seemed pretty legit for him to be pissed, I wasn’t sure why folks were mocking him.

But he thinks this was his original “work” because he typed a fucking *prompt*? GTFO loser
Colombia would be entirely justified in recalling its ambassador and expelling ours.
