With apologies for going off-topic: if by Tuesday morning there hasn't been a clear statement from NYT's leaders about why you've had bascially no coverage or discussion of the No Kings protests, I'll be setting my digital subscription -- which I've had since 2010 -- to non-renew.

Near the top of my personal hatelist are annoying, distracting app popups that derail what you’re focusing on just to inform you about some “feature” you couldn’t give a crap about.

Bonus points if you have to click a button labeled “Got It” to make the fucking popup go away.

I sometimes get the feeling that the NYT views itself as a snooty academic journal rather than a newspaper. A bunch of grandmas marching in the streets with homemade signs? How pedestrian and lowbrow.

It looks like the kid with the skateboard swiped his glasses, and then someone deliberately tripped him when he was giving chase. Had his head hit that curb, he’d be comatose or dead now.

Guy was an ass, but we can’t be condoning or celebrating theft and violence, even against creeps like him.
