Writer, musician, teacher, Daddy. Starting a new chapter of my life in rural Appalachia, looking for a life more vivid and authentic with enough time for my family. And looking to connect without generating content and profit for huge, evil corporations.

A maze of scars
These hearts of ours
Each reaching for a dream that keeps receding
We keep planting seeds
Writing books no one reads
If only to show we know how to take a beating

Back in 2010, David Graeber wrote, Against Kamikaze Capitalism

This is a quote from that piece.

Dream worlds without fat people
Or rural places

Dancing frogs have become a symbol of resistance in the USA.

Interestingly, over a decade ago David Graeber wrote a piece on the power of such symbols in protest movements.

The piece is called - On the Phenomenology of Giant Puppets. Here is an extract.

As I sleep he reaches out
To claw my nipple

“We found over 35 cases in which the judges have specifically said what the government is providing…false information. It might be intentionally false information, including false sworn declarations time and again," says Ryan Goodman, law professor at New York University.

Fifteen presidents have invoked the Insurrection Act.

Trump claims one president used it 28 times in the course of a single presidency.

The Insurrection Act has been used a total of 30 times over the course of its 217-year history.
Trump: "I'm allowed as you know as president, like 50% of the presidents have used the Insurrection Act. Everybody agrees you're allowed to use that and there is no more court cases, there is no more anything. We're trying to do it in a nicer manner, but we can always use the Insurrection Act."

I'm sure I should be flattered to be the one my daughter wakes at 3 AM when she can't find her Cat Noir doll, and my son at 3:30 when he can't figure out how blankets work.

This must be what I wanted all those lonely years.

This is love: vigilance, service, absurdity, and then insomnia.
And, while he was a stubborn, incompetent leader who discovered nothing, he was the first European to rape young girls, share them with his friends, and brag about it in the New World. Which pretty much explains Trump's admiration.

And why Columbus wound up in prison.

Plus he's invaded and liberated the downtrodden lands of DC, Chicago, Portland and Covfefe!
