I’ve been about driven off the road by logging trucks more than once and subjected to rude comments and gestures in gas stations and bars. I may not vote like midwestern farmers but the older ones aren’t especially dangerous. To white women is all I can say.

If I'd hazard an addendum, I'd say even rural Oregon is like this. Maybe its the frontier mentality - people moved from the east &midwest and its institutions (churches, etc.) Logger country isn't midwest farm country. And like you say, white supremacy has its adherents in parts of the state.

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

Oh yeah, and knowing the Supremes won’t stop it, doesn’t mean they aren’t the only ones who can. Besides Congress. Unfortunately, the Constitution offers no other remedy. Turns out tough talk is useless too. And so is ignorance.
