I write about the Brewers for Brew Crew Ball and Reviewing the Brew but I also am a jazz musician?

I'm fine with Peralta tonight. He was, without a doubt, better at home than on the road this season... but he also threw one of his best games of the season at Wrigley in August. And he wasn't by any means bad on the road, never gave up more than four runs in a start. Feel confident.

Still feel good about the Brewers’ chances but if they lose this series, that game will be looked back on as an epic choke job

This is the kind of shit that makes you want to believe in people again, man

J.T. Realmuto with two of the top exit velos in 2025 is a bit surprising

Chourio on pace for 14.5 hits in this game

Honestly he SHOULD be a legend for making the trade request that netted the Brewers Andrew Vaughn

Milwaukee legend and beloved member of the 2025 Brewers Aaron Civale makes his return to the American Family Field mound.

The Brewers scoring four runs in the first inning (which isn’t over!) without a homer is a great start to answering the “will the Brewers’ offense work in the postseason” question

Sorry Jim my Brewers anxiety is manifesting in bad Blue Sky jokes

Not even a chair on defense, huh?

I'd have probably preferred to face the Padres and it's amazing that they got screwed so badly in that ninth inning. But fuck it, bring on the Cubs

What? Rafael Devers walked 112 times this season??? His previous career high was 67

Maikel Garcia, too. Forgot about him.

A difficult year for All-MLB decisions. Toss-ups essentially at four positions. I'll post where I landed (I don't know what MLB's rules are, but I do the positions plus a "DH" who is just the next-best hitter, whether he played DH or not.)

To put just a little bit of perspective on this Brewers season, I think it's worth remembering that for the first 65 iterations of the World Series, the Brewers would just... be there, now. And it would be even more of an accomplishment because there are 50% more teams now!

He did it! Was getting a bit hairy there for a bit

Jackson Chourio is the first player in MLB history with multiple 20-HR/20-SB seasons before turning 22 years old

It also sort of seems like maybe agents should be a required part of this process, since they actually know the rules??? (Would also avoid the Micah Parsons sitch of “owner thought he was negotiating around the agent.”)

Agents probably are crappy people but at least it’s a control mechanism.

Roch Cholowsky is a Mad Max character. He’s also known as Geartooth

Roch Cholowsky is chasing history.

He could become the first player to win the Player of the Year award in back-to-back seasons.

And he has a good chance 👀

He's our 'way too early' pick for the award: www.baseballamerica.com/stories/way-...

But they’ve hit 236 balls off the wall so maybe it’s okay

This is actually pretty hard. I’ll say…

1. Paths of Glory
2. The Thin Red Line
3. Apocalypse Now
4. The Hurt Locker (does this count)
5. Black Hawk Down

Let me tell you that the way that this sax solo section on the title track just sort of emerges out of the texture and lets Wayne go hard for 60 seconds before returning to the 'actual song' is one of the coolest things ever recorded

Not trying to diminish the Raleigh MVP case or the season he’s having but for a second can we imagine how we would be reacting to Judge’s season if he hadn’t done it two other times in the last 3 years?
