Members of Congress should be on the streets of DC—where many of them live! —putting their bodies between these law-abiding citizens and ICE. Congress should be demanding names, and promising ICE will be prosecuted when US democracy is re-established.

But they are not—b/c they think it polls badly.

New — Video shared with me shows ICE officers in DC detaining a man on Friday.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”

They were a poliviere away from their own problems. Thankfully the implosion of the US served as a warning that many of us were glad they avoided. Self righteousness from some now is ironic.

The host countries benefited and approved them, that's a fact. It has little or nothing to do with "exceptionalism."

We did not approve this. He was required to ask Congress.

Those bases are with the full participation of the host country.
When they don't want that presence anymore in some cases, as Germany did in closing many cold war installations, they hv they hv full sovereignty.

We DID NOT gv the felon approval. There's no *full* participation.

It's vital to hv access to everything. Hearings are nice for publicity- but this stuff needs to be rooted before disappearing.

That info will surely 'disappear' as soon as this nightmare is finished.

Yesterday they were shooting priests in the head with rubber bullets. Today they're arresting journalists. If you have anyone in your life who doesn't regularly follow the news and doesn't understand how bad things are and how bad they're about to get, you need to tell them right now. Time is short.
