I know Trump and his minions all have sneering contempt for kids with special needs, but trust me when I say that their parents will absolutely fucking destroy anyone who messes with the special education supports to which they are entitled by law.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

It’s a beautiful weekend to get vaccinated. I was born outside of the time frames listed below…yet learned my measles immunity had waned, so I got boosted at CVS. 💪🏼

Do adults who have already been vaccinated need a booster?
Most vaccinated adults are immune to measles and do not need further vaccines.
Those born before 1957 likely had measles disease and developed life-long immunity and do not need MMR vaccines. Those vaccinated between 1963-1968 may have received a measles vaccine that was found to have lower effectiveness. Those who had 2 doses of measles vaccine are not considered to be at risk.
The best defense against measles is vaccination, and if you are not sure of your immunity or vaccination status, it is safe to get a measles vaccine.

Three weeks is such a long time, especially for a kid. Vaccines help keep children healthy and in school. “Unvaccinated children who were exposed to the virus will be “excluded” from school for three weeks, the length of time it could take for a measles exposure to cause symptoms, Bell said.”
