Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.

The country’s biggest problem gets no media coverage.

It’s just not that interesting.

It isn’t divisive.

It won’t sell advertising.

There’s no enemy to point at.

And most of all, it would undermine the establishment if it was fixed.

It’s our FPTP election system.

Millions of people followed stopthetories.vote voting advice in 2024. This was a key driver of the Labour “landslide” off the back of the smallest majority win vote share in history.

This is, therefore, no idle or impotent threat.

Labour needs to back PR in this government.

Could we please stop pretending that the flags being hung from streetlamps or painted on roundabouts are innocent expressions of patriotic pride? This is the far right marking out its territory. It uses these flags to intimidate its traditional victims and opponents. 🧵1/3
