RIP Drew Struzan... one of the great contemporary illustrators of our time. So many incredible images and memories created. I remember being in awe of his work as a young artist, still am today.

In an age of horrific GenAi imagery his practical art making genius is a monument to human art.

I never see him working with Pettersson/Boeser or trying to make any room for them or get to any shooting spots. Its like he is purely a rush guy but I never really see him carrying the puck either?

Agreed... takes time to believe in your body again. They say a year. That's why I'm saying until DEC. I think he'll start to push it by then, start to feel shiftier, faster etc.

Quicks for sure, haven't seen that yet... but he showed signs of speed/life 1/2 way through the 3rd.

Missing that pass was ugly but there were other players that could have covered for that miss after the fact. Still, he's gotta make that pass...

Don't agree that confidence shouldn't be an issue, every pro athlete talks about it. Petey hasn't been EP40 for 16 months. He has 2C it as much as we do.

Yah, not what I had hoped for after hearing he wanted 'revenge' & had put on weight etc. But confidence is earned & he's lacking offensive confidence right now.

I can see signs of it coming back, that pickoff & almost goal v Binnington, driving play when put with 91/8 in the 3rd etc.

It's coming.

I see signs of life... he needs confidence. Hard for that to happen when he's getting the 7th most TOI amongst forwards. Granted he wasn't used on the PK tonight (even though he was best FO guy in the game).

BUT, he needs to start shooting the puck & taking players on again.

Signs of life from EP40 once he was put with 91/8. Much more speed, driving D back, looking to make plays. Still not getting shots off though.
