PHFA SPOTLIGHT ON HEALTH: Berks Community Action Program’s Families and Individuals Rise program exemplifies the Stability Pathway. By partnering with a local healthcare organization, the program connects unstably individuals with community resources.
Last Thursday we joined Project HOME to celebrate the groundbreaking for House of Grace, a development that will provide 45 apartments in North Philadelphia. PHFA-provided tax credits are helping build this new community that will allow residents to escape homelessness.

PHFA SPOTLIGHT ON HEALTH: Housing stability programs like Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority’s “Pathways to Housing Stability” program addresses homelessness and play a role in their participants' health by stabilizing housing and connecting them to non-housing resources.
We recently celebrated the start of construction for Ardmore House II in Montgomery County that will contain 48 affordable rental units for seniors 62 and older. Congratulations to Human Good and all partners - we’re happy to provide tax credits to help make this development possible.

Research suggests housing instability negatively impacts physical and mental health and can make it more difficult to access needed health care. Programs that address housing stability also have a positive impact on individual and community health.
PHFA SPOTLIGHT ON HEALTH: This week we’ll explore the Stability Pathway. Housing instability includes a variety of housing situations, including having trouble paying rent, living in an overcrowded home, moving frequently, or experiencing homelessness.
