I was sifting through the features on Interop Feature Ranking and misread "scroll-driven animations" as "soul-driven animations" - and it still made sense 🤷

round()

I love how you can control the rounding to perfection, eg.

round(up, 25vh, 1lh)

JS Math.round() seems so underpowered in comparison.

Yeah, that would be more correct.

But in the ad, Jason Statham is going to open the car -and with one intense look at the driver and say: “Ruber”.

“Scootch over” translates to “rüberrutschen” in german (I’m guessing “uber” comes from “über”) - so “ruber” would be the name? 😅

What everyone said.

JXL (natively still image format) ought to be superior to WebP and AVIF (derived from video formats) - if nothing else bc of progressive decoding 🤷

IIRC JXL could also become our resp. img savior with the browser only requesting needed data from 1 JXL file? 🤔

Eyeballing is an art in itself 😄

You could also just set font-size-adjust for all text - which would also make (whatever font the browser chooses from) your base font-family be adjusted 🤓

So if you like 0.49 - then that's it. 🙂

Why I 🧡 the web.

This #WebGL game where you deliver messages on a tiny planet is amazing. Smooth animation. Peaceful vibes (and i didn't even play, I wondered around).

I also think this is a great way to display the shortcomings of some browsers (e.g. video shows Safari 18.6 😞)... 🙌

Browsers: Let's support wide-gamut colors in CSS.

Also browsers: Let's not support it in <input type="color" />

Educating people to not automatically expect the exact same experience/functionality across devices:

• Clients signed off on Figma/Photoshop comps - and often complain when things don't look exactly like them.

• Testers need to be made aware of all progressive enhancements used across devices.

That's just treating the symptom though...

"Remote viewing" sounds pretty far out there to me.

But it keeps popping up in Youtube suggestions 🤔 (damn algo).

This bit from a documentary on the subject; a guy demoes it on live japanese TV 🤯

Impressed they even make a spin-off show where they find missing ppl!

When I designed the Lego Star Wars website back in 2002, they also first introduced those microscale models as "Mini" IIRC. So cool!

If you had told 6 year old me that Lego and Star Wars would combine (my two obsessions), my little head would have exploded 🤯
